Is HostMyEvent free to use?
For the Brighton pilot, yes — it’s free for organisers and venues. We’re focused on proving value and learning what works.
How does it work?
Organisers post what they’re planning. Venues browse events and can make an offer if they’re a good fit — so you get outreach from venues instead of chasing them.
What kind of events can I post?
Anything that could suit a venue in Brighton & Hove — birthdays, private dining, engagement parties, networking, workshops, community meetups, brand events and more.
Do I need exact details to post an event?
No. Rough guest count, budget and dates are fine. You can update details later — venues mainly need enough info to know if they’re a good fit.
How do venues contact me?
Venues make an offer through HostMyEvent. If you accept, you’ll have everything you need to follow up and confirm directly with the venue.
Is this only for Brighton?
Right now, yes — we’re launching in Brighton & Hove first. If you’re elsewhere, you can still try it, but venue availability will be limited until we expand.
